Driftwood pendant necklace with green bead

Driftwood collected around Lake Winnipeg, Manitoba. The wood is then soaked and sanitize with a mixture of bleach, baking soda and soap. It is rinsed and scrubbed with a brush to remove the last impurities. Drying is done under the Manitoba sun as long as possible. It's better to leave the driftwood dry at least for 6 month before working with it. The driftwood is stored in my workshop until it is used to become a one-of-the-kind- piece of art.

To create this driftwood pendant, it was sanded on the outside for a smooth feel and grooves were carved. Two silver colored anti-tarnish rings attach the wood to a green leatherette necklace. The necklace has a silver colored clasp and a 2 in extension chain to vary the length of the necklace. The length varies from 16 in to 18 in.
The pendant has two silver colored beads and one green. The whole is wrapped with tarnish resistant silver plated wire, 18 ga (1.02 mm) diameter.

The necklace is carefully packed in an organza bag.
